With simple drawings and a just few words, “Catastrophe” is a limited edition book that tells a story, of sorts, of loss, recovery and resilience. It’s been described as an art book, a chapbook and a folded and bound print so it is probably all of those.
I have hand-bound each with waxed linen thread, and I also punched peepholes on a couple of pages. (You’ll see why those are important.) It comes in a black paper sleeve.
The book measures 5.5” tall and 8.5” wide and consists of 32 pages, mostly black and white, and a soft cover. They were printed in Seattle on thick, durable 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
